Connect Global Limited (CGL) is a Not-for-profit government accredited Drug & Alcohol Facility dedicated to supporting willing men entering the recovery stage of their addiction.
We acknowledge the Worimi people as the traditional custodians of the land on which Connect Global Limited Services are located,
and we pay my respects to Elders past, present and future on whose land I walk, work and live.
CGL provides a holistic approach aimed at promoting mental, emotional, spiritual, and physical well-being without relying on drugs or medication to address the challenges stemming from drug abuse or alcoholism. Through our program, individuals gain insights into substance abuse and receive guidance on transitioning to a life free from its grip. Our focus is on cultivating healthy habits that empower participants to live with purpose and vitality.

The facility is situated in tranquil bushland on the waterways of Port Stephens, located approximately 45mins north of Newcastle and 15min from Karuah and 25min from Medowie, NSW

About the Founder/CEO
Ross Pene, the visionary founder of the CGL program, has dedicated his life to empowering individuals to transcend the shackles of addiction and embrace lives of purpose and fulfilment. With an unwavering commitment to fostering holistic transformation, Ross's journey as a prominent local recovery advocate traces back to the 1990s, but it was in 2013 that he established CGL with a clear mission: to guide men towards their highest potential. In collaboration with Newcastle's Citycare Rehabilitation program, particularly "Champion House," Ross spearheaded initiatives to address anti-social behaviours by establishing night care programs throughout the streets of Newcastle. These efforts aimed to provide support and resources to those in need, fostering community engagement and breaking down barriers to positive change.
Drawing from over 30 years of hands-on experience in the field, Ross understands that substance abuse is often a manifestation of deeper, underlying issues. Rather than simply treating the symptoms, he believes in addressing the root causes with empathy, compassion, and a Christ-centred approach. For Ross, faith isn't just a belief system; it's a transformative force capable of healing and redemption.
Through his Christ-centred philosophy, Ross has pioneered a unique approach to recovery that goes beyond conventional methods.
